How we work together

Team-Training-for-Thriving-MakeTimeFlow
The training is always customized to your team. Together, based on your company culture and needs, we design a unique program from the building blocks below.

The baseline program is 9 weeks (because research shows that people on average need 66 days to establish new habits), but can be adjusted according to your needs, whether you want to dip your toe or dive in fully (or somewhere in between).

The building blocks of team training typically comprise:

Dr-Narath-Carlile-stage-HarvardiLab1-1
— Launch event: 2-4 hr workshop to learn foundational concepts & tools.

— Access to platform/toolbox: Each participant gets a ‘pro’ account, and can use tools they find most useful on any given day (we train them how).

— Individualized guidance and support: Each participant gets at least one private coaching session for personalized setup & advisory. Additional one-on-one coaching is available as an add-on. Email support is also available throughout the program.

— Team optimization sessions: Within the 9 week program, every 1-3 weeks we gather to review progress, challenges & best practices.

— Reflection & celebration: At the end, we hold a small celebration to reflect on our shared data, and learning and growth, with each participant having a chance to contribute their insights and experience. Everyone is set up to continue using the tools and approaches in the upcoming months. Each individual is also invited to choose a gift book from our curated list of top titles on related subjects.

The budget ranges based on the number of participants, extent of individual guidance/coaching desired, and length of program.

ABOUT US

Dr. Narath Carlile

Narath Carlile, MD MPH FAMIA is the founder and lead coach of Cognitive High-Performance Solutions, as well as the developer of MakeTimeFlow, a deep productivity platform based on the science of human flourishing. He is also a medical doctor, healthcare informaticist, consultant, software engineer, community leader, writer, speaker, and educator.

Dr. Carlile works with world-class organizations, business leaders and philanthropists to help them transform themselves, their teams and their organizations into high-performance 'cognitive athletes' through bespoke coaching and training.

BACKGROUND

After experiencing near burnout himself as a physician, executive, startup founder and parent, Dr. Carlile started thinking of a new approach that could help people achieve success in all the areas of life that mattered. Not a simplistic idea of "work-life balance" but a way of framing priorities, productivity, value and time that would help people feel like they could stop grappling with overwhelm and flourish more.

In 2013 Dr. Carlile began building solutions, from apps to timers to workbooks. Over the last decade, he's developed a framework for ‘flourishing through peak performance’, integrating research from neuroscience, psychology and data science, and writers like Newport, Seligman, Grant, Dweck, Duckworth, Csikszentmihalyi and many others, including continually emerging material.

Today, Dr. Carlile and his wife & cofounder Heli Tuomi run Cognitive High Performance Solutions (coaching & training) and MakeTimeFlow Labs (tools & software) from the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Kendall Square, Massachusetts.

“Excellent, supportive, and wise coaches…. I highly recommend this for busy professionals to take back control of time, to be able to do the deep work that really matters to you and is most rewarding.”
